A warm welcome to North Yorkshire

Welcome to Serendipity Cottage in the heart of the North York National Park.

Explore the wonderful North York Moors!

There is so much to explore in North York Moors National Park, with over 1,400 miles of footpaths for you and your 4 legged friend..... you will be spoilt for choice with the number of beautiful walks. The most famous is the Cleveland Way Trail which spans 109 miles across the moor and on to the coastal path passing through numerous picturesque fishing villages along the way.

Robin Hood's Bay

One such village is Robin Hoods Bay, here you will find cobbled streets and quirky little alley. You can imagine the smugglers rushing through the back streets with their liquor hoping not to be caught. Dog friendly cafes/ tearooms and pub are a welcome break to enjoy a lazy sit and enjoy watching the world go by.

Saltburn by the sea

An enchanting Victorian coastal town which ooses charm and interest. The seaside town has Blue Flag status for its clean beach, high quality seawater and great beachside amenities. A perfect day out as it promises its visitors a genuine seaside experience! There is plenty to entertain all the family, only 20 mins away!

Kildale Moor

This is one of my first photos I took when we moved here, my journey to work! This view is of Kildale moor looking across to Roseberry Topping, a 1,049 feet (320mtr) high hill. All around the area you'll find a lot of mining history, it's hard to believe that years ago all the beautiful villages we see today were once miners homes. There are so many beautiful walks to explore and plenty of wild life to see...... if you are lucky you might see the white tailed eagle that has been here for a the last few years.
